Privacy policy

The short version

No accounts, no tracking cookies, and we do not store your location.

What happens when you use the calculator

• Your ZIP code or city is turned into a map point inside your browser.
• That point, rounded to about 1 km, is sent to our server, which asks the National Weather Service for the forecast. The NWS sees our server, not you.
• If you press "Use my location", your browser asks your permission first. The position is used the same way and is not stored.
• Your last search and school type are saved in your own browser (local storage) so the page remembers them. You can clear them by clearing your browser's site data.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

If we add analytics or advertising, we will update this page before it goes live, including any cookie choices you need to make.
